Yamaha RD400 Performance Front Brake Kit

This kit is a great way to boost the braking performance on your cast rim Yamaha RD400.  This kit allows you to utilize modern components along side your vintage forks and cast wheels.  The rotor spacer is designed to work with any rotor that fits a Ducati 998.  The caliper bracket was designed to work with the front right caliper from a 2002 - 2003 Yamaha YZF-R1.  The rotor and caliper can easily be sourced through Ebay. Both the rotor spacer and caliper bracket are machined from 6061 T6 aluminum in the USA.

1 rotor spacer

1 caliper bracket

all necessary hardware for the conversion

Necessary parts not included with kit

1 Yamaha 2002 - 2003 YZF-R1 front right brake caliper 

1 Ducati 2002 - 2004 998 front brake rotor

We will be releasing a kit for the rear brake soon.  This will utilize the rotor from the same Ducati 2002 - 2004 998 and the left side caliper from the same 2002 - 2003 Yamaha R1.
